Tacos and Tequila Festival returns to Colorado Springs [Event preview]

With Denver only an hour away and tons of musical happenings every week, Colorado Springs is often forgotten when it comes to Colorado music and events. Which is sad, because the thirst for more shows and better live music is here. Thankfully, Tacos and Tequila Festival is tapping into that thirst and bringing back their highly successful event to Colorado Springs for its second iteration. Speaking with Lacey Hayes, VP of Programming at Social House Entertainment, the event company responsible for organizing the Tacos and Tequila Festival, she couldn’t help but express her love for the Springs.

Colorado Springs brings an incredible atmosphere and genuine excitement for
live events, making it a natural fit for Tacos & Tequila,” said Hayes. “The community shows up with great energy, which makes us excited to continue to bring this experience to the city.

Known for its throwback music lineups and Hispanic culture-inspired themes, Tacos & Tequila Festival has drawn some huge lineups over the last few years. First starting in Kansas City in 2021, the festival kicked off with a killer lineup featuring Ludacris, Mario, Twista, and Bobby Valentino. Since then, the festival has expanded to multiple new markets, now including Las Vegas, Omaha, Chicago, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Buffalo, Winnipeg, and Colorado Springs. This is a return for the event in the Springs, which held its first event here last year in 2025. This year, the festival returns to UChealth Park, where the Sky Sox used to play, for another amazing lineup featuring some of the biggest names in 2000s R&B and Hip-Hop.

Who is on the lineup?

This year’s Colorado Springs Tacos and Tequila Festival will feature a stacked lineup of legendary artists. Openers include Murphy Lee, Bubba Sparxxx, Petey Pablo and Chamillionaire. So now’s your chance to sing along to your teenage anthems like “Mrs. New Booty” and “Ridin,” this time with a crowd of friends around you. Headliners for the night include Chingy, Ginuwine, and T.I, making it a night of certified bangers for sure. From some of T.I’s all-time hits like “What You Know” and “Whatever You Like” to Ginuwine’s legendary “Pony,” this is a hip-hop night that you won’t want to miss.

Beyond the music

If that lineup didn’t get you up to buy tickets just yet, there’s more to this festival than the music. Fans can expect a full day of festival experiences including lucha libre wrestling, the fan-favorite chihuahua beauty pageant, local taco vendors, art installations, an exotic car showcase and much more.

We can’t wait to see you all this weekend,” said Hayes. “With T.I. as our headliner on our incredible lineup, plus all of the tacos, entertainment, and festival experiences throughout the day, it’s going to be a special event for Colorado Springs.
