
Jade Cowden looks out over the car as she prepares to take off on a road trip home. Her daughter, Marceline Cowden, was born on June 23, 2020 in Southern Pines, N.C. In November 2020, Marceline traveled to Colorado for the first time and met some more of her family. For the first months of her life, Marceline was only surrounded by her mom, her dad and her dog. 
Marceline Cowden eagerly straps into the infant car seat of the family’s road trip vehicle. For this trip, they will be driving a 2009 Subaru Forester from North Carolina to Colorado. 
Jade Cowden straps down the extra cargo load with ratchet straps and checks the vehicles safety before leaving on November 21, 2020. The trip takes over 1500 miles in total, so a safety inspection is important before hitting the road. 
Marceline is fed up with the car seat. She has been riding in the car for over three hours and needs a break. 
Jade takes a turn in the driver seat as she remembers the time spent with family. The Cowden’s still had a long drive home, but knew they could do it successfully with laughter and joy. 
A break is given as Jade provides Marceline some needed fresh air and relief . The Cowden’s chose to do most of their traveling at night in order to mimic the baby’s natural sleep cycle.

With over 3,000 Miles traveled total, the Cowden’s could not of made the trip without the reliability of their Subaru. Josh has owned his Subaru Forester for 5 years now and plans to keep it for many years to come.
